Here is your chance! CFCM has thrown down the gauntlet to all those interested for a new type of challenge. CFCM has partners with Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM) to participate in the upcoming Costa Mesa Community 5K. Anyone and Everyone is welcome to participate with the only catch being each member has to become a “sponsored” participant by asking for donations to cover the cost of entry for the race ($20) and the cost for at least one wheelchair to be donated to those in need ($60). Of course, you can make the donation yourself as well.
Oh, and there is one more catch. To raise awareness in the community that there are thousands and thousands of people all over the world literally crawling in the dirt due to injury, birth defect, etc… we will be completing the 5K USING one of the Wheelchairs from FWM!
Can you see it now? 20+ CrossFitters wheeling across the course? Talk about being prepared for the unknowable and it should be a ton of fun.
